Solidarity celebration

 Solidarity is the way of awareness of shared interest, objectives, sympathies and creating a unity within in us. This also refers that we ties in a society that bind people together as one. Vigan City, is the only heritage city in the Philippines. Bigueños are always celebrating the World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival for the whole month of September.

  The celebration goals is to keep preserving the bigueños pride and unity. Biguenos celebrate  solidarity in order to give resemblance to people who united to them nor people who develop the Vigan city. The solidarity festival has been featuring the Chinese Community to appreciate the contributions of the Chinese community in the development of the city. The presence of the Indians in the city is also appreciated by the city government by staging the Indian Community Solidarity Day that began in 2017. Vigan City have been developing new things through solidarity. Vigan   heritage city have been celebrating this celebration which commemorated with week-long festivities aimed at strengthening pride in the history and culture of Vigan.


The purpose of solidarity is to build our movement, and to embody our mutual care and concern.Solidarity works best when we respect each other’s differing needs and life circumstances, understand that there are many ways of being in solidarity, and co-ordinate our responses.
